Drafting & Design

SASKATOON | SENIOR TRUSS DESIGNER

RESPONSIBILITIES: Reporting to the Technical Design Manager, the Designer is responsible for designing residential and commercial floor and roof systems incorporating engineered wood trusses, wall panels and engineered wood products for local markets utilizing industry specific software.

KNOWLEDGE: Degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Architectural and Building Technology or P. Eng. Experience with Mitek and/or Auto-CAD systems is an asset. Professional level oral and written communication skills required.  10+ years experience in commercial and residential truss design, wall panels and EWP.

Forklift & Yard

SASKATOON | WAREHOUSE CO-ORDINATOR

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to provide planning, control and flow of goods within our warehouse. A Class 5 license is required and a forklift license is preferred. This role is physically demanding, requires the ability to plan and organize a heavy workload under pressure and maintain strict deadlines. Contact us for a full description of this position.

SASKATOON | FORKLIFT OPERATOR

RESPONSIBILITIES: Providing forklift and other services in our yard and within the Shipping Department. Ensuring equipment is clean and operating in a safe manner through daily inspections.

QUALIFICATIONS: Forklift, chainsaw, general shipping and receiving experience is an asset. Key requirements for this position are dependability, organization, multi-tasking, time management, professional appearance, demeanor and attitude.

SASKATOON | YARD HAND

RESPONSIBILITIES: Guide customers around the yard and load and/or assist them in loading their orders. Answer simple questions or forward them to the appropriate person for a resolution. Secure customer signatures for orders and distribute paperwork. Ensure the yard is kept in a safe, clean and orderly fashion at all times. Assist drivers, warehouse person and forklift drivers as necessary. Load and unload incoming and outgoing product.

QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of building materials, picking, loading and unloading orders. High degree of accuracy, organizational and communications skills are vital. Exceptional customer service, positive attitude and the ability to adapt to change are all fundamental qualities.

Shipping & Receiving

SASKATOON | CLASS 3A DRIVER

Reporting to the Operations Manager, this position will provide delivery services to our customers. A current Class 3A license with air endorsement and a clear driving abstract is necessary. Knowledge of the City of Saskatoon and surrounding areas, an understanding of the city bylaws and permit requirements and excellent time management and organizational skills, in addition to customer service skills with a strong safety focus are also necessary.

SASKATOON | TRUSS ASSEMBLER

RESPONSIBILITIES: Reporting to an Assembly Team Leader and the Production Manager, the Assembler is responsible for assembling trusses.

QUALIFICATIONS: Able to use a hammer, read a tape measure in foot/inch/sixteenth method, understand work orders, proficiency in English (written and verbal), ability to work as a team, safely, while providing quality products in a fast-paced environment is required. Knowledge of wood and building manufacturing is an asset.
